Reiki Healing - The Reiki Symbols
76Reiki Healing - Reiki Symbols And Their Meaning
For a long time Reiki Symbols were kept secret and were shown only to those who had been attuned to the Second Degree of Reiki.
Used as a directional tool these symbols can best be explained as the keys that open the doors to the Reiki energy for healing and self-healing of the past, present and the future.
We can use these symbols over a wide range as you will come to understand, not only on ourselves but also on animals and objects around us.
These symbols give us the means to connect with specific frequencies and using different symbols will boost the Reiki energy.
You can use the Reiki energy with the symbols by drawing the symbol in the air with your finger or on your palm or you can even use your mind to imagine that you are doing so then saying the name of the Reiki Symbol three times.
The Three Second Degree Reiki Symbols are :
CHO KU REI (Symbol is on the far left hand side on this picture)
SEY HEI KI (Symbol is on the far right hand side on this picture)
HON SHA ZE SHO NEN (Symbol is in the middle on this picture)
CHO KU REI
The Power Symbol Cho Ku Rei is pronounced 'choh-koo-ray' increases the energy of Reiki.
When drawing it start at the very top point and follow it round in one flowing movement.
You can start a self-healing treatment by drawing Cho Ku Rei on your palms and saying choh-koo-ray three times when doing so.
SEY HEI KI
The Mental and Emotional Symbol Sey Hei Ki which is pronounced 'say-hay-key' is considered to be an uplifting symbol because of the way that this energy leaves one with feelings of emotional balance in the mind.
Sey Hei Ki is helpful for healing relationship problems, emotional or mental stress as well as enhancing the memory (as connected to the subconscious mind).
Practice by placing your finger at the very top point of the left character of Sey Hei Ki following round in one flowing movement downwards.
Then so the same for the right character, from top to bottom then follow over the two curves.
Draw this symbol once but remember to say the name say-hay-key three times whilst doing so.
HON SHA ZE SHO NEN
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is pronounced 'hone-sha-zay-show-nen' is the Distant Healing Symbol. It is used for sending Reiki healing energies over time and space (past, present and future) to anyone and anything.
Seen as a sending energy, but also a receiver when drawn and kept on your body, clothing or even under your pillow when you are asleep.
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the most complex of the three Reiki Symbols so take the time to familiarise yourself with it before using it to send distance healing.
Just like the other two Reiki Symbols you place your finger at the very top point of the symbol and work your way downwards, drawing the symbol only once but saying its name 'hone-sha-zay-show-nen' three times.
The Reiki Symbol Plant Exercise
This is a fun exercise to do and a great way for you to practice using the first Reiki Symbol.
You will also be able to see what a good impact Reiki can have on the world by just starting with a small pot-plant or two, because as we all know, from small things great things grow.
Find two pot-plants of the same type and size.
On one of pot-plant's actual pot draw in crayon, chalk or permanent marker pen the Cho Ku Rei symbol remembering to say the symbol's name three times as you are doing it. This will be the pot-plant that you are going to give a Reiki treatment to.
Place them both on a window sill where they will get the same amount of light and water when required.
Once a day ask for the Reiki energy to be brought to you so that you may give healing to the pot-plant with the symbol drawn on it.
Without touching the plant start with your hands around the pot to heal the roots, then move up and around the plant.
Over time you should see that the pot-plant that is receiving healing is growing quicker than the other pot-plant. But don't take my word it ... try it for yourself!
